Like many others on eBay , I was caught by a seemingly great deal. Before buying these clubs , take the following into consideration :-
If you check a buyers' feedback and it is positive for similar items , it doesn't mean they aren't fakes. Mine only came to light after I wrapped a wedge around a bush and tried to get a new shaft - long after I'd left positive feedback.
Steer clear of clubs with True Temper S300 steel shafts , theyare the easiestto copy and are not the standard shaft - these are the Superfast Black Steel ones and typically 90grm , not the heavier S300.
Ignore claims that the serial numbers are genuine and can be registered with Taylormade - anything can be registered , as I found out !
Fakes are very good these days - however , fakes don't have the correct colour "R7" on the back of the heads. Beware of poor quality photo's or pics from the Taylormade pages that will not show this.
Avoid sellers who claim "waiting for Paypal verification" - you will have to pay by P.O. or transfer and will have no comeback.
Always confirm the origin of clubs - fakes will usually come from Asia/Far East , possibly via the States. Be wary of long delays in responses to emails and poor English.
