Vintage items and copyright

Hi, have just had a listing removed and am very confused and not at all happy about it! I had 3 Shakin Stevens badges dated from the 1980's advertised, they have been removed by Shakin Stevens HEC Ltd as they own the copyright to Shakin Stevens. As these badges are not new and are vintage surely they can't do that, am I to believe all Shakin Stevens memorabilia is therefore not re-sellable? Can I appeal against the decision with Ebay, what route do I take? Any help appreciated.
